Beat Your Inner Fears
None of us are born with inner fears.
We learn them through experience as we grow and move through life.
Obviously, some fears are necessary - to be wary when crossing a busy street or walking in an unsavoury part of town late at night.
Once you know to always look before you cross the street and to avoid the bad parts of town at night, those fears need no longer bother you.
It is the fears that we hold within us continuously that can really affect our lives - these fears can grow and multiple, robbing us of our ambitions and dreams.
They have the potential to ruin relationships and lives.
Fear shows itself in many ways producing emotions that we would not automatically link to fear.
However, in each of these emotions, fear is the basis.
Firstly, we have indifference or apathy.
You drift along in life, not seeming to care.
The reason behind apathy is, of course, fear.
Fear of failure, fear of success, difficult tasks and hard work.
Apathy and indifference seem like the easier option, which is another delusion.
Apathy leaves you weak and powerless in life.
You no longer have control, you become reactive to events that happen to you, not proactive.
Next we have indecision.
This is a fear of making the wrong decision and in the process of delaying and agonising over your choices, you end up doing nothing and losing out.
Great opportunities are lost through indecision.
It is a thief of time and better chances in life.
Then we have doubt.
Doubt can be necessary in certain occasions - we cannot believe everything we are told - but all too often people allow doubt to take over their lives and stifle their futures.
And if you doubt yourself you will never achieve your goals and ambitions, it's as simple as that.
This leads us to worry.
Everyone worries about something at some time, but the key is to not let your worry dominate you.
Worry is another thief of time if used unwisely.
It can waste many hours that would otherwise be used far more constructively.
Lastly, we have timidity.
Being over-cautious and timid in life will never get you very far.
Timid people tend not to be promoted, have successful businesses or grow as people, because they allow this fear to swallow them up.
All these fears can be beaten and you have full control in doing so.
Our feelings always emanate from our thoughts - our thoughts create our feelings.
Therefore, every thought you have is crucial as to whether you allow your fears to win or not.
If you are thinking negative, fearful thoughts it stands to reason you will feel negative and fearful - worried, apathetic, doubtful, timid and indecisive.
If you use your thoughts positively you are going to feel the opposite - strong and in control and courageous.
Your thoughts really do control the amount of success you gain in life.
You need to use your thoughts continuously to push your negative feelings away.
At first in can take practice when you begin beating your fears, but with consistency you will find that your thoughts can assist you in not only banishing your fears, but in aiding your success also.
