How to Clean Yellow Topaz
- 1). Pour warm water into a plastic bowl or container. Make sure that the water is just comfortably warm, because strong heat can change or ruin the color of a yellow topaz. Don't use a glass or metal container because these materials can scratch the stone.
- 2). Add a squirt of mild dishwashing liquid to the water. Never use harsh or abrasive detergents, which can also damage yellow topaz.

Place the topaz stone or jewelry piece in the warm soapy water. Soak it for about 20 minutes. Remove it and clean the stone gently with a soft cloth or toothbrush. - 4
Rinse the yellow topaz piece well with warm running water. Pat it dry with a soft, clean cloth. - 5
Use a small piece of very soft cloth to wrap the yellow topaz jewelry piece. Place it in its own jewelry box compartment so that the stone does not come into direct contact with other pieces of jewelry.
