How to Remove Hair Residue From the Floor
- 1). Sweep hard floors with a broom, collecting as much hair as possible in a pile. Be sure to get the corners and spaces around furniture and appliances.
- 2). Sweep the hair into a dustpan or onto a piece of paper, and dispose of it in the trash. Pull free any hair sticking to the broom bristles, and dispose of it as well.
- 3). Vacuum hair from carpets and rugs. Use a vacuum cleaner with a beater brush -- a cylindrical rotating brush mounted on the bottom of the vacuum.
- 4). Empty the vacuum bag or container into the trash. Unplug the vacuum, flip it over, and inspect the beater brush. If the bristles are clogged with hair, clean the brush by pulling free the hair and other debris, and disposing of it in the trash.
- 5). Wrap a length of packing tape around your hand with the sticky side facing out. Pat the tape on any areas of the floor where the vacuum cleaner can't reach. Dispose of the tape with the hair stuck to it.
