How to Extract Lsass.exe From Installing Media
- 1). Insert the Windows-installing media into your computer.
- 2). Open "My Computer."
- 3). Double-click the media icon. If it's a CD, it will look like a disc and probably have "F:".
- 4). Open the "i386" folder. Move it off to one side.
- 5). Open a second "My Computer" window.
- 6). Double-click the hard drive icon -- usually "C:" -- and open the "System32" folder.
- 7). Drag and drop the file "lsass.ex_" from the "i386" folder into the "System32" folder.
- 8). Change the file name to "lsass.exe" in the "System32" folder. You have now extracted it onto your computer.
- 9). Eject the installing media, and restart your computer.
