    • 2). Open the file manager. The File Manager appears under the files menu on the front page of cPanel. The File Manager icon is of a folder with a picture sticking out of the top. This file manager allows you to access the individual individual files that are stored on your site.

    • 3). Navigate to the public_html folder. Traditionally, a website's files are placed in the public_html folder.

    • 4). Check the "Select All" check box. Located on the second menu bar at the top of the file manager, this check box toggles the selection of all of your files.

    • 5). Press the Compress icon. The Compress icon sits on the top menu bar. The icon is a box with a green arrow pointing to the interior of the box. This will compress all of your website's files into one compressed file.

    • 6). Download the compressed file. The compressed file will have been placed into your file manager's directory of files. Find this file, select it and press the Download button. The Download button lies on the top menu bar and its icon is a ball with a downward pointing arrow.

    • 7). Upload the compressed file to your new hosting provider. Log into your new site's cPanel, open the file manager, click on the public_html directory and push the Upload button.

    • 8). Extract the compressed file. Select the file and push the Extract button. The Extract button lives on the top menu bar and has an icon featuring a box with a green arrow sticking out. Your old website will emerge from the file and populate your new site's public_html folder.
