Let Texas Secede

There are any number of people in Texas who want to secede from the union.
I am all in favor of them being able to do so.
Texas sees things very differently from, say, California; and if they don't want to be part of the same country as California, then it should be their right.
I am not saying this at the time that Texas is in power, but at the time that Texas is out of power.
Texas had its chance.
It was called the Bush administration.
It was a disaster.
So if they can't put up with a progressive being in the White House, and if they can't put up with not being in power, then let them go their own way.
I think that this arrangement would work better for everyone.
Texas will not have to deal with the progressive influence, and the more liberal parts of America will not have to deal with Texas.
If Scots and the British can do it, then certainly so can the right-wing and the progressive parts of the United States.
Much of the politics of Texas - and the rest of the South - have been about taking revenge on the North for the Civil War.
Now they have decided that they are America, and that the rest of America isn't.
I think it would work in everyone's best interests to let these places secede from the Union and start their own country.
If Texas decides to stay in the union, then I have this recommendation for America.
Allow freedom at both regional and individual level.
Let each region have its own character regardless of what is in Washington.
And allow people unlimited freedom to move between regions to find a place that works for them.
Let Texas be Texas; let New York be New York.
And let those born in Texas who would rather be in New York go to New York - and let those born in New York who'd rather be in Texas go to Texas.
Either way, there should be a way to solve this problem.
It is obvious that Texas does not want the progressive influence, and it is obvious that the more liberal parts of the United States do not want the Texas influence.
So either let the two regions split, or allow more regional autonomy.
Either way would be better than having these people in each other's faces when they hate each other and do not want each other's influence.
