How to Troubleshoot FRS26ZGG Frigidaire Refrigerators
- 1). Plug the Frigidaire refrigerator into a working power outlet if the refrigerator is not working. Reset or replace the fuse or circuit breaker as needed.
- 2). Close the refrigerator doors and leave them shut more often if the refrigerator seems to be running too much. Adjust the thermostat dial to a slightly warmer temperature and wipe down the gasket on the door to ensure a tight seal.
- 3). Set the "Chilled Air Control" dial to a warmer temperature if items in the "Meat Keeper" or the other drawers freeze or develop frost on the outside of the packaging. Turn it to a colder setting if the items are too warm or spoil very quickly.
- 4). Wipe down fruits and vegetables with a dry towel prior to placing them in the crisper if water develops on the bottom of the drawer. Wet items will leave water in the bin.
- 5). Turn the thermostat to a colder temperature if items are too warm or spoil easily. Keep the doors closed as much as possible and allow up to 24 hours for the temperature to feel colder.
- 6). Push the ice maker power arm down to turn the ice maker "ON" if there is no ice produced. Turn the control to a colder setting if the ice maker is "ON" but there is no ice, as the internal temperature must be cold enough to make and preserve the ice.
- 7). Clear items that may be pushing down the ice maker arm if the ice maker does not stop making ice. Lift up the arm until some of the ice has been consumed.
- 8). Close the freezer door completely if the ice or water dispenser is not working. Remove any ice cubes that may be clogging the dispenser with a plastic utensil. Change the water filter in the refrigerator section and clear any potential obstructions.
