Many students are there which have large number of disabilities. Students have learning disabilities they do not learn with the traditional methods. Learning disabilities occur due to lack of attention level, mental retardation and autism. Art is a useful tool for these types of students. Students with disabilities do not mean that they are not capable of learning instead they need material to represent. Art methods are important for children. Students with disabilities are separated from the regular students. They are given separate time for remedial classes to learn new and remedial skills which they do not capture in the whole class. Other students discourage when they do not perform with them at the same level. They have good opportunity to do something creative in the art classes. In the art classes success is not measured with the standards. Feeling of succeeding gives them self- confidence. Self- confidence is important to learn further studies. Art related activities provide them creativity, motor skills, problem solving skills and other skills which are important in academics like math, language and science.

Practicing with art provide them better communication skills. Math and science can be easily taught with the help of art methods. It holds more interest of the students than traditional lessons. Holding students attention is more important. Activities of painting and drawing make them learning about shapes and other relationships. Teachers use the art skills to make them learn about math geometry and other formulas and techniques. Historical events can be taught with the help of creating plays. This helps them to increase their knowledge and memorize the facts fast than using textbook. Always use alternative methods to reduce student's disabilities. Tell students to make art projects so that they can learn concepts easily. Give them chance to express their creativity and to learn them with the alternative methods for better development.

 

Many resources are available to do these new techniques in the classrooms. These are used for both the weak and regular students. These methods make them learning new skills both enable and disable students take advantage of it. Education provides number of benefits to students.
