    • 1). Place the hole-burning tool on its stand and power it on. Wait at least three minutes for the tool to heat up.

    • 2). Locate the refilling hole spot on the cartridge. If you place the cartridge in an upright position, you will see the name of the cartridge written at its top center. The refilling hole is found two centimeters to the left of where the cartridge name appears.

    • 3). Position the copper bit of the hole-making tool at the refilling hole spot on the cartridge.

    • 4). Push the copper bit inside the cartridge slowly, until the plastic melts. Make sure the plastic piece doesn’t fall into the cartridge. If it does, you will have to remove it immediately using thin tweezers.

    • 5). Remove the hole-making tool from the cartridge and place it back on its stand.

    • 6). Throw out remnants of the expired toner from the cartridge. This is an important step before refilling the cartridge. For best results, you can use a mini-vacuum with a hose to perform the task.

    • 7). Turn the bottle of new toner upside down, and gently tap it against the edge of a table. This will loosen up the toner and help make it free-flowing.

    • 8). Remove the bottle’s cap and attach a funnel cap to it. Secure the cap tightly.

    • 9). Insert the funnel cap into the fill hole of the cartridge.

    • 10

Remove the bottle when the cartridge gets full or the bottle is empty.

    • 11

Seal the fill hole using a plastic plug. You may use electrical or duct tape if you don’t have the plug.

    • 12

Shake the cartridge gently from side to side after sealing the hole, and the cartridge is ready for use.
