How to Create a Vector Speech Bubble
- 1). Open the Google Docs home page and click the "Create new" button. Click "Drawing" to indicate you want to start a new vector drawing.
- 2). Click the toolbar button shaped like a circle in front of a square to display a gallery of shapes.
- 3). Click one of the shapes that appears like a speech bubble, then drag on the canvas to create the bubble.
- 4). Right-click the bubble and select Edit Text, then type the text you want for the bubble in the dialog box that appears. Press "Enter" when you're done entering text. Press "Shift" and "Enter" simultaneously if you want to include a carriage return in the speech bubble.
- 5). Click the "Save now" button above the canvas's right edge to save your vector speech bubble.
- 1). Click the ellipse icon in the tool palette, then drag over the canvas to draw an ellipse.
- 2). Click the tool palette icon shaped like a nib pen to run the tool for drawing paths, then click a point near the lower portion of the ellipse to indicate where you want the straight part of the speech bubble to start.
- 3). Click the tool palette icon shaped like a star, then enter the number 3 in the Corners text box above the canvas to indicate you want to draw a triangle, which will form the spiked part of the speech bubble.
- 4). Drag the mouse to draw a triangle attached to the outline of the ellipse, then click the A icon on the toolbar to run the Text tool.
- 5). Click inside the ellipse, then type the text you want to appear in the bubble.
- 1). Click the tool palette icon shaped like a hexagon to run the tool for drawing polygons.
- 2). Click the canvas, then enter the number 3 in the Sides text box of the dialog box that appears. Illustrator will draw a triangle on the canvas.
- 3). Click the tool palette icon shaped like an ellipse to run the tool for drawing ellipses, then draw on the canvas to create an ellipse.
- 4). Click the black arrow on the tool palette, then click the ellipse. Drag this shape until its outline connects to the triangle to form a speech bubble.
- 5). Click the T icon on the toolbar to run the Text tool, then click inside the speech bubble.
- 6). Type the text you want the bubble to contain.
