Restrictive dieting in rare cases is beneficial to the dieter.
Perhaps, under proper supervision, you may be able to achieve significant results, but at higher risk.
Restrictive dieting causes all sorts of unwanted side effects.
It just isn't worth it.
Some dangerous physical effects It can decrease the rate at which your body burns fat while at rest.
This is a direct contradiction to the three hour diet, which attempts to speed up your resting calorie burning rate by eating more frequently.
Furthermore, the restrictive diet may slow down the rate at which you digest food.
This is also quite harmful to the body.
Poor sleep Some have also found that such extreme dieting also adversely affects our sleep.
People on a restrictive diet not only sleep less and less soundly, but of course are also more fatigued throughout the day.
A bad diet coupled with bad sleep is a recipe for health disaster.
Lack of concentration There are also negative mental side effects with restrictive dieting.
Some people on such diets have been found to have poor concentration and lacked the ability to focus on tasks for a reasonable amount of time.
Dieters will wander off-topic and find it difficult to complete tasks at work and at home.
Anxiety and depression Anxiety and depression or other side effects experienced by people using a restrictive diet.
These conditions affect many people who obsess over things or fall short of expectations they have on themselves.
People on restrictive diets like we have these kinds of qualities.
As you can see, restrictive dieting is really just a gimmick it is very dangerous to your health and well-being.
Some would suggest that restrictive dieting would be okay if it was under the supervision of a health expert.
However, I don't know of any health expert that would approve of such a diet.
