How to Finish a Fence
- 1). Lay a drop cloth over your lawn near the fence to protect the grass.
- 2). Pour the oil-based stain into a pump sprayer tank.
- 3). Spray the finish over the entire fence including the top of the fence posts.
- 4). Immediately brush the fence with a paintbrush to evenly distribute the finish.
- 5). Let the fence dry completely.
- 6). Apply another layer of finish if the manufacturer recommends it.
