How to Add Color to a Wall Without Paint
- 1). Measure the fabric so it is the height of the wall plus 2 inches. Cut the fabric. Fold under 1 inch at the top and bottom so you don't see the raw cut edge. Iron the fold.
- 2). Cut two strips of double-faced tape to the width of the fabric. Start in the corner of the wall. Remove the backing from one side of the tape. Place one strip at the top of the wall right below the ceiling. Place the other strip at the bottom right above the floor.
- 3). Peel the backing off the tape, so the exposed side is sticky. Unless you can reach both sides of the fabric you'll need a friend to help you stick the fabric to the tape at the ceiling.
- 4). Smooth out the fabric on the wall with your hands, working from the top of the wall to the bottom. Stick the fabric to the tape at the bottom of the wall.
- 5). Continue laying strips of fabric until the wall is covered.
- 6). Cut grosgrain ribbon to the height of the floor to the ceiling. Lay the ribbon over the edges of the fabric where they are next to each other. Fasten the ribbon to the fabric with a dab of hot glue every 2 feet.
