Being a grandparent equips you with more love than you know what to do with and grandparents and grandchildren both know this.
Kids love their grandparents because they treat them just a little more special than anyone else does.
I haven't talked with anyone who can put their finger on what the love a grandparent has for grandchildren other than it's different.
Grandparents love their own children but these little grandchildren just seem to worm their way straight to our hearts.
It's a feeling I can only say that warms my heart inside out but my own children did that to.
I ask my own grandkids and here are some of the answers I got: kids love grandparents because but not limited to these:

• We are always happy to hear from them.
  Have you ever noticed that little tone in someones voice when you call that says they are less than happy to hear from you? I never heard that in my grandparents voices,I could always tell that they were delighted to hear from me.
  
• We are always up to a little trip or a crazy adventure.
  When they have something they want to do that no one else will do,they know to call granny because she always loved your ideas and will even do them with you.
  
• Acting crazy and silly is one of our better traits.
  -We play at their level and have fun doing it.
  
• We let them sleep with us even if they kick.
  I love for my grandchildren to sleep with me because I love hearing the breath and knowing they are safe tucked right up against me and they love it to.
  
• We don't rush daily chores.
  We don't rush them to get a bath or go to sleep,because we cherish the time with them
• Children love to learn and we teach them.
  Sometimes it's hard for parents to have enough patience to teach them but grandparents do.
  We teach them how to do everyday things that they can use in their lives.
  
• We let them teach us.
  Heck my granddaughter is four and she knows more about an iphone than I do so she teaches me how to play games with her.
  It has to do the times and how advanced technology is and these kids are growing up with things I know nothing about.
  They live the fact that they can teach you something that they know and you do not.
  

In Summary: Grandparents love their grandchildren unconditionally and grandchildren love their grandparents unconditionally and that's just they way is.
