How to Count Lines in a Script

    • 1). Press the "Ctrl" and "A" keys on your keyboard simultaneously or use your mouse pointer to click and drag to highlight all the lines of code in your text editor. Right-click the highlighted code and select "Copy" to copy the code to the Windows clipboard.

    • 2). Open a Web browser and navigate to one of the line counter tools on TextMechanic.com, Tools4Noobs.com or Miniwebtool.com.

    • 3). Right-click the text field and select "Paste" to paste the code from your clipboard.

    • 4). Click the "Count Lines" or "Count Text" button. The "Lines" or "Number of Lines" field displays the number of lines in the script.
