    • 2). Look at the top bar in this window for a link labeled "Search Active Directory," and click on it to launch the Active Directory tool.

    • 3). Verify that the drop-down box "Find Now" is set to "Users, Contacts, and Groups." Confirm that the drop-down box labeled "In" is set to "Entire Directory." Enter the name of the directory you are searching for, and select "Find Now" to search the entire database for your active directory.

    • 4). Double-click on your found active directory to list all of that particular directory's files and attributes.

    • 5). Click on the "Advanced Tab" if you wish to search your active directories by field, condition or the value of the search. Select the "Field" drop-down menu to select a city attribute of the active directory to search by. The advanced tab also allows you to search for other active directories in other cities by selecting "Users" and "City" from the Field drop-down list. Set the condition to the attribute you chose above, and set the Value field to the city you're searching for the active directory in.
