How to Configure a Keyboard Layout

    On Windows 7 or Windows Vista Systems

    • 1). Click "Start." In the Start Search box, type "intl.cpl" and then press "Enter."

    • 2). Click "Change keyboards" on the Keyboards and Language tab, and click "Add."

    • 3). Expand the language that corresponds to your keyboard. Then, expand the Keyboard list, select the layout you desire and click "OK."

    • 4). Click "View Layout" in the options to compare the proposed keyboard layout with your actual keyboard.

    • 5). Click the language you desire in the "Default input language" list, and then click "OK" three times.

    • 6). Click the "Language" bar, and then click your language.

    On Mac OS X v10.4 or Later

    • 1). Click "System Preferences," "View" and "Accounts" from the Apple menu.

    • 2). Enter the user ID and password for the administrator, if the displayed lock icon is closed.

    • 3). Click "Login Options" and select "Show Input menu in login window."

    • 4). Click "Log out" from the Apple menu.

    • 5). Click the name or icon of the current keyboard layout at the login window. Then, select the keyboard layout you desire. If the desired layout is not displayed, go to Other Sources for a complete list of layouts.
