How to Repair Creative MuVo
- 1). Connect your Creative MuVo to your computer via USB. Navigate to "Start," "My Computer" and right-click on the drive letter associated with your Creative MuVo. For example, it may be listed as removable disk F:. Right-click on drive "F" and select "Format."
- 2). Click "Yes" when prompted if you are sure that you want to format the hard drive. Click "Format."
- 3). Open your browser and navigate to the Creative website to access the support guide for the Creative MuVo (see Resources). Look for the latest firmware update for the MuVo and click "Download."
- 4). Disconnect the MP3 from your computer, take out the battery and keep the play button pressed while connecting the MuVo back into your computer's USB port, if the software requests that you set your player in recovery mode. You can release the play button after your computer recognizes the MP3 player being connected.
- 5). Click on the firmware installation file that you just downloaded. Click the "format data" under the download options..
- 6). Navigate to the Creative website support and download an updated driver for the creative MuVo. Sometimes the installation CD that came with your device could be outdated and cause technical issues with the device. Updating the drivers will maximize your chances of the device working properly. Keep the MuVo connected to your computer while downloading the updated driver.
