Ok now you have finally joined the personal security bandwagon and have hooked yourself up with the latest in surveillance technology, but is it really enough? Are you really completely secure with only that? Say you only bought a video monitoring system, what about motion sensors or cameras that adapt to movement? You really will never know what to buy, let's take a look at some of the systems.
Something to consider would be a wholesale alarm system designed to keep out everything and you in control of everything.
These systems come prepared with some basic security devices and help in protecting you home more easily.
Some of the features included in these packages are the following: Control Panel The control panel is the epicenter of the alarm system, just like your brain has complete control over your body, the same way the control panels controls all the cameras or whatever you have connected.
Keypads What keypads do is that they tell you the current status of the surveillance system.
It directly connected to the control panel and the features vary depending on the keypad that you buy.
Generally, you can make a selection from the following four options: Wireless keypads LED keypads LCD alpha English hardwired Fixed display keypad Motion detectors These as the name suggests, detect motion, it can be programmed to begin the recording as soon as some type of motion say from a person or an animal is noted and will stop as and when the motion stops.
These can also be equipped with lights that turn on automatically.

It is also usually kept in large halls to note movement.
Obviously if you are usually at home this is not required.
It is mostly for areas that are uninhabited or visited less frequently.
Glass break detectors These work on sound waves and detect any abnormal sounds and set off an alarm, you and program this to be a loud alarm or one that send the law enforcement to your home directly.
The models available nowadays are very advanced technology and the smart models have sensors that can differentiate between the normal sounds and find the break in sounds.
Sirens The two types of sirens that one can use are the outdoor sirens and the indoor sirens; naturally they set off a loud racket which nearly all the time scares off a potential burglar.
The thing when it comes to sirens is the location.
You really want to put it in a place where its not accessible to the burglar but not difficult for you to get in and turn it off if it does happen to go off.
A siren should be loud and irritating enough to force somebody into calling the police.
Smoke detectors This may not seem like a device that is used to protect homes from being attacked by burglars but it is useful none the less in preventing fire hazards and alarm systems these days come equipped in dealing with both burglars and fires.
They come in wireless and also with wires once again depending on your needs and convenience.
It's generally a good idea to defend your home on an all round basis.
