I worked a regular job day in and day out like a good employee for a number of years.
I had learned from my parents that if you got a good education and worked hard you would make a good living and live comfortably.
Except something was not quite right.
Every time I got my paycheck a huge portion of it was taken away from me and went to taxes and then after I had paid all of my bills there was hardly any left over for me.
I did what most people do I borrowed to make up the difference.
Pretty soon I was stuck in that cycle of working all day for the bank and the government and surviving on what was left over.
The bank owned my house, my car and was slowly bleeding me dry with interest payments.
The government was taking more and more from me every-time I looked and pretty soon I realized that there was no way I was going to make it.
By the time I finished paying off my house I would have paid for it three times over.
I couldn't see anyway to dig myself out of the debt I had accrued.
The only retirement I had to fall back on was social security and I wasn't even sure that would still be around when I needed it.
I understood that I would have to make some drastic changes in my life if I was ever going to achieve the financial prosperity I had always dreamed of.
My family has always struggled with money ever since I was a child.
We never had enough money and things were always scarce.
I grew up with a poverty mentality always thinking that I somehow didn't deserve to be rich.
So in essence I grew up being scared of money and worrying about it.
I'm not blaming my family for it because it was just the way they were programmed.
They worked hard for companies who promised to take care of them when they retired and when they did the companies reneged on the deal.
They paid all of their bills before they paid themselves and never had anything left over.
They were constantly suckered into believing that their ship would some day come in.
They put their money in the stock market only to see it evaporate in front of their eyes.
They got involved in business partnerships that went belly up and left them holding the bag.
Life was a constant scramble for money and in my family money was terrifying.
It seemed that as soon as it came in it went out.
There was never enough.
So that is where I found myself, in the same boat as my family had always been.
Deep in debt stuck in a what I thought to be secure yet dead end job terrified of money and uncertain of the future.
Then I lost my job and couldn't find another one to replace it.
That was when I hit rock bottom, I thought my world had ended.
With no money or job I felt as if I had reached the end of the road with no where left to go.
Then I read a quote that made sense to me.
It said "A problem is merely an opportunity" I thought long and hard about what that meant.
How could a problem be considered an opportunity? I didn't know but something inside of me changed.
I had often been looking for a solution to my financial problems and I knew that I could do on the internet.
I tried stock trading and lost my shirt so that was out.

I wanted to able to make this work from anywhere in the world wether I was sitting on a beach in Thailand or on my boat in Brazil.
As long as I had a good internet connection I could make this system work for me.

Do no harm: I am a strong believer in cause and effect and did not want to get involved in any kind of scam or lying.
I did not want to sell useless products to people or try to convince them to put their money into get rich quick schemes that would go belly up and leave them holding the bag.

Work as little as possible: I wanted to put myself in a situation where I had my money working for me not me working for my money.
I wanted to be rich so I didn't have to waste my life doing some 9-5 (or longer) job and could instead have plenty of free time to focus on my art and hobbies.

Do something simple: I didn't want to have to go to school to learn a new skill.
I wanted something I could start right away that was so easy I could teach it to anyone else in 5 minutes or less.

Have support: I didn't want to start something from scratch.

Be my own boss: I have the type of personality that I just hate being told what to do and I don't like being given orders.
So I decided that this time instead of climbing the corporate ladder I would own the ladder.

Pay as little in taxes as possible: I hate tax time, don't you? The government is getting bigger and bigger and they keep taking more and more.
The more we give them the more they take.
I know I will have to pay taxes in some shape or form I just want to pay as little as possible and keep as much as I can for me and my family.

Maintain my reputation: I wanted to be able to look myself in the mirror and be proud of my successes, pay off my debts and have the respect of my friends and family.
So with my ten commandments of the way I wanted to live my life and earn money I set off on my quest to find the perfect system to allow me to do just that.
I knew that the answer existed on the internet.
The world wide web has opened up opportunities for wealth creation few have ever dreamed about and I truly believed that there was a solution out there for me I just had to find it.
I knew that when I did I would know it.
