How to Save YouTube Vids
- 1). Open your Web browser and navigate to the YouTube home page. Locate the YouTube video that you wish to download. Once the YouTube video has been located, highlight the video's URL in your Web browser's navigation bar by clicking on it and dragging your cursor across it. Right-click the URL and select "Copy" from the menu.
- 2). Open a new window on your Internet browser and navigate to a YouTube video download site. KeepVid, RipYouTube and VIXY are a few of the websites that provide this service. Links are available in the Resources section of this article.
- 3). Click on the blank space provided next to the "URL" subheading to place your cursor there. Right-click and select "Paste" from the menu. This should cause the URL you copied in Step 1 to be duplicated in the space provided.
- 4). Click the button that reads either "Download" or "Save." You will be asked which format you wish to download your video in. Click on the format that you desire to start your download. Make sure to note the location where your downloaded file will be saved. Allow several minutes for your download to finish.
- 5). Double-click on your newly downloaded video file. If the file opens and begins playing, you have successfully downloaded a video from YouTube. Repeat this process for any other video files you may want to download.
