How to Install a Garmin Zumo 550 GPS on a Heritage

    • 1). Remove the two factory-installed bolts that secure your clutch and brake clamp to your handlebars.

    • 2). Thread the two bolts, included with the Zumo, through the handlebar base.

    • 3). Thread the two spacers, included with the Zumo, so that the handlebar base sits between the head of the bolts and the spacers.

    • 4). Tighten the bolts to secure the handlebar base mount.

    • 5). Place the square-shaped Zumo mount on top of the circular base plate.

    • 6). Thread the four 40 mm flat-head bolts through the mount and base plate and tighten the nuts to the end of the bolts. The flat heads of the bolts will rest flush into the square Zumo mount.

    • 7). Line up the ball of the base plate with the top of the double arm socket and insert it into the socket.

    • 8). Tighten the knob on the socket slightly, but not all the way, and then push it down onto the handlebar base.

    • 9). Tighten the knob all of the way to secure the Zumo mount to the handlebar base.

      Flip up the lever that sits at the back of Zumo mount.

      Place the bottom end of the Zumo 550 into the base and push the top part of the device back into the mount.

      Flip the lever at the back of the mount down to secure the Zumo into its base and complete the installation.
