Problems Starting the "Punisher" Game
- "The Punisher" is a computer game that was released in 1995. There are 16 missions in the game, and the point of each mission is to go from one point to another while killing everything that you see along the way. You carry two weapons and are able to crouch and use body armor to protect yourself. There are problems starting the game on some computers.
- When starting the game up, the title screen with the words "The Punisher" appears on the screen. But, after five seconds, the screen immediately goes completely black and an error report comes up on the screen. Check for updates on the computer to see if your settings are up to speed. You can do this by going to "Start," "Options," "Windows Updates."
- "The Punisher" won't run full-screen on computers that are running Windows 7. Instead of running it in full-screen mode, run it in windowed mode. It will create a much smaller viewing area, but will actually work on the computer then. You won't be able to increase the size, or the graphics will blur together and it will be hard to see.
- Often "The Punisher" game won't be recognized by the hard drive. You will insert the disk, but the hard drive won't pick it up. If this is the case, the graphics card on your computer may not have the latest driver. You may have to purchase a new driver or may be able to download it for free (depending on your computer). You can download drivers at the first link in References.
