How to Merge Two EVOs
- 1). Download and install the BitPIM application onto your computer (see Resources).
- 2). Plug the sync cable for the first Evo into the "Sync" port on the bottom of the device. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer.
- 3). Plug the sync cable for the second Evo into the "Sync" port on the bottom of the device. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer.
- 4). Double-click the BitPIM icon to launch the application. The application will automatically detect both Evos connected to the computer and they will appear listed in the left side menu.
- 5). Click the listing for the first Evo in the left-side menu. This will open the Sync window for that device in the main window of the application.
- 6). Click the "Get Phone Data" icon in the top menu. Select the "Sync All" radial button in the pop-up window and click "OK." This will load all information. such as contacts, music and images, from the Evo to the application.
- 7). Click the listing for the second Evo device in the left-side menu to open the sync window for that device.
- 8). Click the "Sync Phone Data" icon in the top menu; then select the "Sync All" radial button in the pop-up window and click "OK." This will transfer all the information from the application to the second Evo device. The new information will merge with the current information on the device by default.
