How to Send Windows Errors to Microsoft

    Windows XP Users

    • 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel".

    • 2). Click "Performance and Maintenance" and double-click "System" to launch the System Properties dialog box.

    • 3). Click the "Advanced" tab and click the "Enable Error Reporting" button. Click the "Enable error reporting" radio button. This allows you to send error reports to Microsoft. Check the "Windows" operating system check-box. Check the "Choose programs" check-box and select the programs you want to send error reports for to Microsoft. Click "OK" to save the changes.

    • 4). Click "Send error report" when Windows displays the error reporting tool when your program crashes or freezes. A message confirms the delivery.

    Windows Vista Users

    • 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Start Search" window. Type "Problem Reports" and press "Enter".

    • 2). Click "Change Settings" and click "Advanced Settings" and click "ON" and click "OK" to save the changes.

    • 3). Click "Send error report" when Windows displays the error reporting tool when your program crashes or freezes. A message confirms the delivery.
