How to Make Your Own Banner For Free

Open the MS Paint program on your computer. Re-size the working area to standard banner size by clicking on "Image" from the toolbar. Click on "Attributes" when the new menu drops down. Type the number 468 in the width field, and 60 in the height field, then click OK to re-size. - 2
Create a background for your banner. Select the fill tool, which looks like a paint bucket pouring paint, from the side menu in MS Paint. Select a color from the color panel at the bottom of the page, then click on the banner to fill in with a solid color. - 3). Add pictures to your banner, if desired. Open a new window to find images on the Web. Copy a picture from the Web by right clicking and selecting "Copy". Then, right click on the Paint page and select "Paste". If you'd like to use a picture from your photo collection, select "Paste From" from the "Edit" menu, then select the picture you want to use from your documents.

Re-size the image to fit the banner by selecting the "Stretch/Skew" option from the "Image" drop down menu. Edit the number in the "Stretch" fields until the image is the correct size. Use the "Attributes" drop-down option to check the current size. You can re-size the picture to fit the entire banner (468 by 60), half of the banner (234 by 60), or one fourth of the banner (117 by 60). - 5). Copy and paste the re-sized picture into your banner. Left click the image, hold the mouse button down, and drag the picture to the desired location on the banner.

Add text to your banner. Select the text tool from the side menu in Paint. Select the icon below the side menu for a transparent background (see illustration). Create a text box on the banner by left clicking, holding down the mouse button, and dragging the field to the appropriate size. Click inside the box and type your text. Save your banner to the desired location when finished.
