How to Make Coarse and Kinky Hair Straight
- 1). Shampoo with a silicone based product that you can find in most drug stores, supermarkets or beauty supply stores. Rinse hair thoroughly.
- 2). Massage a silicone based conditioner into your hair. At least once a week, replace this step with a cholesterol treatment. Leave conditioner or cholesterol on your hair for a full five minutes. After five minutes, rinse hair thoroughly.
- 3). Squeeze the water out of your hair with your fingers, or carefully blot it with a towel. Do not rub your hair with the towel.
- 4). Brush out knots and tangles from your hair with a wide-toothed comb.
- 5). Apply a leave in serum to your hair that includes silicone. Massage serum into your hair from the roots to the tips.
- 6). Part wet hair in two in the center, so that you have a top half and a bottom half. Keep the top half separated with hair styling clips.
- 7). Wrap the hair around a large, thick, round bristle brush, and using a hairdryer up close, pull and stretch hair out straight. Work all the way around your hair, straightening it with the brush and hair dryer.
- 8). After you're done with the bottom part, blow out the top part of your hair that you've had in the hair clip the same way.
- 9). Section the hair again with clips, separating it into a top half and bottom half.

Use a flat iron and straighten the bottom section of hair first. When finished, do the same to the top section. - 11
Finish your hair with a finishing spray or work a bit more of the silicone based hair serum from root to tip.
