How to Change a Logic Partition to Principal

    • 1). Open the Disk Management utility by typing "diskmgmt.msc" into the Search box (in the Start menu) and pressing "Enter."

    • 2). Right-click the Logical Drive and select "Delete Logical Drive." Click "Yes" to confirm.

    • 3). Right-click the newly unallocated (free) space and select "New Partition." Click "Next."

    • 4). Click "Primary Partition." Set the desired size of the partition. You can optionally assign a drive letter and format the new partition.

    • 5). Click "Next" and then "Finish" to create the new primary partition in place of the logical drive.
