There are many benefits of hiring a photo booth at an event organized by you, be it a wedding function or just a social gathering. These booths allow you an opportunity to capture the happy and fun moments forever and also give you the prints instantly. While the photo booths are becoming a common phenomenon it is important to know that you are picking the right company to do the job.

With so many people entering into the photo booth business, it becomes difficult for you to hire a booth that provides the best service at better rate. Here are three most important things that you need to ask your service provider before you hire them for your occasion.

€ First of all ask them which camera they use?

The two main types of cameras used at photo booths include a simple point and shoot camera and a D-SLR camera. While point and shoot cameras are good enough to take pictures, D-SLRs are high quality cameras used by professionals as the picture quality and clarity is much better. While many say that photography is all about the skill and not about the camera; having a better camera will definitely make a lot of difference. This also means that a company providing booths with point and shoot cameras will be cheaper, but if you do not want to compromise on the quality of the images then you should go for the company that uses D-SLR camera.

€ Ask then about the printer?

Here again there are two options available - the ink jet printers and dye sublimation printers. The results often look very similar from both of these printers, but ink jet printers do not have durability and the prints from this printer tend to fade and lose coloration over a period of time. On the other hand dye sublimation printers use a thin lamination on each photo, and thus the colours are protected for a very long period of time from UV light and air. The prints from dye sub printer also tend to be water resistant. Again with better quality comes higher price, so if you want your guests to keep the memory of the event forever, you know which printer to choose.

€ Last but not the least; know how many prints they provide:

In the end you need to know how many prints the photo booth service provides. While most of the service providers advertise that they provide unlimited prints, it is important to make clear with them that how exactly this works, so that you can take better decisions and there are no confusions later on. Generally the photo booth company will provide two copies of each photo taken, one for the guest and one for the host and will take the unlimited pictures of guests during the time allotted for the session. The company will also give you a digital copy of all the photos taken at the event.

Conclusion:

These are the three most important things that you need to know before hiring a photo booth. The rest will all work out well and your guests are sure to have fun at your event where they can pose with their friends and family to keep the memories alive for years to come.
