Ski and Snowboard

• The major attractions in Park City are the winter sports. With three ski resorts within five minutes of the town center, skiing and snowboarding are the most popular winter activities. Park City Mountain and The Canyons allow skiers and snowboarders. Deer Valley is open only to skiers. If you are traveling to Park City's peak season from December to February, be sure to reserve accommodations in advance. You can rent equipment at the hills or from sporting goods stores in town. Be warned that during the Sundance Film Festival in January, accommodations, parking and restaurant reservations are hard to come by.
  
  

Explore Downtown

• Park City has a quaint downtown area that is filled with shops, restaurants and galleries. Spend a few hours wandering through the shops, and be sure to stop in the small art and photo galleries to chat with the owners and find unique local photography. For a snack, try the beloved Java Cow Cafe and Bakery, and try the No Worries Cafe & Grill for any other meal. If you're in the mood to shop for clothing, head out to Highway 80 to the Tanger Outlet Center for great bargains on major labels. Art lovers should check out the Kimball Art Center, and book lovers might like a visit to the funky Park City Public Library.
  
  

Summer Activities

• As winter passes, the number of tourists in Park City decreases. At the Utah Olympic Park, the site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, you can take a zip line ride, use the alpine slide or take a bobsled ride. If you're visiting during the summer or early fall, take advantage of the myriad hiking and biking trails in the surrounding mountains. Park city also offers opportunities for golfing, fishing and hot air balloon rides over the Wasatch Mountains.
