How to Use GIMP to Get Rid of Pimples in a Photo
- 1). Open GIMP and click "File." Select "Open" to open the photo you want to edit.
- 2). Select the picture from your files and click "Open." The image will open in a new window.
- 3). Zoom in on the pimple in the photo by clicking "View" from the menu over the photo. Select "Zoom" and then select how large you want to view the photo. For example, you may want to increase the view size to 400 percent. This is useful so you can have a clear view of what you're editing.
- 4). Click the "smudge tool" icon from the GIMP Toolbox window. The smudge tool icon looks like a pointing finger. After you select the smudge tool, open your image window again.
- 5). Click on the skin right outside the pimple with your mouse and drag your mouse over the pimple. You will notice the pimple change to the surrounding skin color. Continue clicking and dragging the skin outside the pimple until the entire pimple blends in with your skin. Repeat this process for other pimples.
- 6). Click "View" from the image menu and select "Zoom" to return the image to its normal size. You will notice the pimples are gone.
- 7). Click "File" from the menu and click "Save" to save the changes you made.
