Low Calorie Tuna Melt - No Mayo!
The classic tuna melt - delicious! But not so good for your waistline.
In my quest to achieve a permanent small waistline, and not an ever fluctuating one, I've learned that you must make your diet a lifestyle.
How do you do that? By altering the delicious meals you love to make them low calorie without sacrificing taste.
I've adjusted the traditional tuna melt and have created a surprisingly delicious alternative that will make your mouth water.
I promise you will not miss the mayonnaise.
And the best part? It takes no time to make it! Ingredients One package or can of tuna One tablespoon Sour Cream One tablespoon Dijon Mustard Dried Dill Hot Sauce One slice reduced calorie sharp cheddar cheese Two slices bread, preferably whole wheat or pumpernickle 1.
Preheat broiler.
2.
In a small bowl, mix together tuna, sour cream, dijon mustard, a couple shakes of dried dill, and hot sauce to your taste.
3.
Spread mixture on to bread.
4.
Top with cheese.
5.
Place sandwich under broiler until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
6.
Enjoy! This is just one of my go-to lunch meals during the work week.
Due to the high protein and fiber content, I'm full for hours.
I never feel deprived, and yet my waistline stays small.
Maintaining after dieting is the hardest part.
Find meals you enjoy but work with your diet and stick to them.
Before you know it, you will actually look forward to your low calorie meals and the fatty meals you once devoured will make your stomach turn!
