Manchester City, who have not won a major trophy since 1976, are favourites to win the FA Cup final against under dogs Stoke City and Manchester United need just one point against Blackburn Rovers to clinch their 19th title.

But rather than rely on the bookies the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in the Trafford Centre is turning to the teams' mini supporters to predict the result.

Staff at the attraction are searching the region for the biggest mini City, Stoke, United and Rovers fans to battle it out in a penalty shoot out in the attraction's MINILAND to predict the results of two of the most prestigious competitions in the footballing world.  MINILAND features a selection of models of buildings from around the North West including recreations of the iconic Old Trafford and Eastlands stadiums so is the perfect setting to bring luck to the teams.

The winners will have the chance to take part in the two penalty shoot outs to help their teams win and will also take home a pass for themselves and their family to enjoy the centre.  And the mini Stoke or City fan who scores the most goals will get to lift their own LEGO FA Cup hopefully giving their team the boost they need to take home the real trophy on Saturday.

General Manager and Manchester United fan, Neil Crittenden commented: "This is going to be a really exciting weekend for Manchester's football fans and at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre we are keen to support all of the teams involved.  We just hope we can find a mini Stoke fan from Manchester who can come along and represent their team – we want it to be a fair match after all.  In real life both teams are playing away from home so hopefully their fans performing in front of their stadiums will give them the luck they need to take the titles."

Located in Barton Square at The Trafford Centre, the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is made up of a series of interactive features to immerse kids into a world where their imagination can run wild with creative inspiration at every turn and one of the most exciting things to do in Manchester.  Featuring a whole host of exciting attractions from the brand new Merlin's Apprentice ride to an amazing recreation of the North West's most iconic buildings, the Centre not only provides fun for LEGO fans young and old, but fantastic educational benefits and a perfect location for birthday partiesin Manchester.

The Centre is open from 10am seven days a week. The Centre remains open until 7pm daily, with the last admission at 5pm
