    • 1). To begin draw three circles. The first circle will be the head, the second the torso where you will later draw the arm. The third is the bottom of the kangaroo where you will later draw the tail and legs. The first circle is the smallest circle of the three. Place it slightly above the center of the paper in the middle. Draw the second circle almost double the size of the first one below the first circle. Look at the first circle and determine the approximate diameter of the circle and multiply that by two. Place the second circle below the first a little to the right, not directly below. The third circle will be the largest, just a little bigger than the second.

    • 2). Draw the third circle just below the second, with a small space between the two. The third circle should be aligned vertically with the first. Now add the face of the kangaroo by drawing a beak shape to the right and connecting to the first circle.

    • 3). Connect the circles with curved lines to form the body of the kangaroo. The kangaroo will be facing right, so curve the line on the left inward to create the back, spine, and tail. The line on the left will be the stomach, curving right. Add the ears to the first circle and the tail to the third.

    • 4). Add the arms and legs to your kangaroo body. The right arm should be aligned with the center of the second circle, the shoulder extending out of the circle to the top right. The left arm should extend from the body of the kangaroo just a little above the right arm. The right leg extends from the third circle, just a little right of the center. The left leg should extend from the line you previously drew, connecting the three circles. The back of the leg starts at the right edge of the third circle, almost touching the front line of the right leg.

    • 5). Give the kangaroo some personality by adding hair between the ears, eyes, nose, and mouth. Have fun with this step as there are no limitations to what type of personality to give the kangaroo. Play with the eyes and mouth to create different expressions.

    • 6). Erase the circles and any other lines you don't want in your final drawing, these are called construction lines.
