How to Transfer a JPEG to an SD Card
- 1). Insert an SD card into your PC. Most newer PCs have SD card slots in the front of their towers, with laptops having them in front or on the side of the keyboard. If your PC does not have an SD card slot, you'll need to use an external card reader, which hooks to your PC via a USB cable.
- 2). Click the "Start" button in the bottom-left corner of the screen and then click "Computer," bringing up a window giving you access to the various storage devices on your computer.
- 3). Double-click the new drive under the "Drives with Removable Storage" divider, usually assigned either E: or F:. This is your SD card; whatever information you put in here will be placed on the card.
- 4). Navigate to a folder on your computer containing your JPEG photos and right-click it, then click "Copy" on the submenu that pops up.
- 5). Right-click the background of your SD card folder's window and click "Paste." This will paste the selected photos onto your SD card, where they can be put into a camera or transferred to another machine.
