How to Convert Miles to Metric
- 1). Enter a figure in miles in your calculator.
- 2). Press the multiply symbol, which will look like "x" or "*".
- 3). Enter 1.609, which is the conversion factor from miles to kilograms.
- 4). Press the equal sign (=) to view the answer. For instance, if you had 50 miles, you would key in "50," followed by "x," "1.609" and "=" to get an answer of 80.45.
