How to Make Chair Bows
- 1). Place a chair in front of you so you are facing the back of the chair.
- 2). Pull a chair sash around the back of the chair, but keep both ends of the sash in your hands. A good trial size for a chair sash is nine inches wide and three yards long.
- 3). Make sure the two ends of the chair sash are even on both sides.
- 4). Tie a simple knot tightly around the back of the chair. The knot should be in the center of the chair's back and facing you.
- 5). Create a large bow by making a loop at one end of the knot.
- 6). Make another loop at the other end of the knot.
- 7). Tie the two loops together in a simple knot.
- 8). Adjust each loop so that the sash ends are even in length.
- 9). Use scissors to cut excessive length off the ends.
