How to Make a Creative YouTube Channel

    • 1). Start your Web browser, go to the YouTube website (youtube.com) and log in to your account.

    • 2). Click the name of your account at the top of the page.

    • 3). Click "Channel," then click "Settings" when you are ready to give your channel a creative name. Choose words that evoke your personality or the type of image you want to project, instead of something dull such as "My Great Channel." Type an imaginative, interesting description in the "Title" text box and then click "Save Changes."

    • 4). Click the name of your account at the top of the page and then click "Settings" when you have a good image ready to use for your portrait. You could take a picture of yourself with a digital camera while you pose with an interesting expression on your face or while standing in front of an appealing background. Click "Profile Setup." Click "Choose File." A dialog box opens. Click the folder on your computer containing the picture you want to use, then click the file to select it and then click "Choose." Click "Save Changes."

    • 5). Click the name of your account, then click "Channel" when you have an imaginative, creative image on your computer that you are ready to use for your YouTube channel's background image, instead of using one of the standard YouTube backgrounds. Click "Themes and Colors," then click "Show Advanced Options," and then click "Background Image." Click "Choose File." A dialog box appears. Click the folder on your computer containing the creative image you want to use for your background, then click the file to select it, and then click "Choose." Click "Save Changes."

    • 6). Click the "Upload" button located at the top of the page and then click "Upload Video" when you have creative or interesting videos to share with people. A dialog box opens. Click the folder on your computer that has the creative video. Click the video file to select it, and then click "Open." As the video uploads to YouTube, type a creative title in the "Title" text box, and type vivid, interesting key words in the "Tags" text box, to help people find your video. Click "Save Changes."
