When it comes to foosball, it is hard to state rules that are accepted across all leagues.
There are a variety of foosball rules and it depends upon the make of the table and the body that held the competition.
But for a regular, friendly game of foosball at home, here are good tips to follow: 1.
The objective of the game is to get the ball to the other side of the table and into the goal.
There could be one or more balls in the game.
Each player tries to get it on their respective goals by striking it with their men.
The person who successfully gets the ball into his goal without being blocked by his opponent earns a point.
2.
The winner who gets the most number of points wins the game.
This is the rule of almost every game.
In foosball however, there are different ways to declare the winner of the game.
In most games, the player who is first to get five goals wins the game.
Foosball can also be played on a best-of-nine game format.
3.
No spinning allowed.
Spinning is defined as the rotation of the men or any other figure on the foosball table to more than 360 degrees.
Players should have full control of the game and are not allowed to just spin them around hoping to strike the ball as they do it.
Spinning is not allowed either before or after hitting the ball.
4.
To start the game, the ball should be put into play.
To start the game, a toss coin is usually performed first.
After the ball is in play, there are two ways to restart the game after a team gets a goal.
The ball can be slid into the hole or it can be placed on the midfield.
The team who lost the point in the previous round starts the game over again.
5 Bounce-outs and balls leaving the table need to be served again.
There are times that the ball was stricken too hard that it goes out of the foosball table.
When this happen, the game halts and the same player serves the ball again.
If the ball seemed to go out of bounce but goes back to the table on its own, the game can be resumed.
If in case the ball hits the back part of the table and goes directly into the goal, the player gets the point.
