How to Remove Oven Cleaner from Linoleum
- 1). Put on a pair of rubber gloves, if you are not already wearing a pair. Wear a nose mask to keep from inhaling the oven cleaner.
- 2). Wipe up as much of the oven cleaner you can with a rag or shop towel. Use as many rags or shop towels as needed.
- 3). Place the soiled rags or shop towels in a trash bag or can.
- 4). Pour 3 cups of warm water into a bucket.
- 5). Add 2 cups of Comet or another brand of similar cleanser to the bucket of warm water.
- 6). Agitate the cleanser/water mixture with a brush.
- 7). Apply the mixture with a brush to the spot where the oven cleaner spilled.
- 8). Let the cleanser/water mixture set for 15 minutes.
- 9). Use several paper towels to gently wipe up the cleanser/water mixture. Discard the paper towels in a trash bag or can.

Dry the area with a paper towel.
