How to Change the Administrator Profile Name

    Windows Users

    • 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and click the "Control Panel." Click "User Accounts" to launch the User Accounts window.

    • 2). Click your account name under "Pick an account name to change." You should see the administrator profile name box.

    • 3). Type the new administrator profile name that you want to use and click "Change Name."

    Mac Users

    • 1). Click the Apple logo located on the top left corner and click "System Preferences." Click "Accounts" to launch the Accounts management console.

    • 2). Click the lock icon on the Accounts management console, type your administrator password and click "OK." Right-click your administrator account in the left pane and click "Advanced Options."

    • 3). Type the new administrator profile name you want to use in the "Account name" box and click "OK" to save the changes. When prompted, restart your computer.
