How to Disable the Nag on Avira
- 1). Click "Start" and click "My Computer."
- 2). Browse to where Avira AntiVir is installed on your hard drive. The default location is "C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic."
- 3). Locate the "avnotify.exe" file in the Avira folder.
- 4). Right-click the file and select "Properties."
- 5). Click the "Security" tab followed by the "Edit" button under the "SYSTEM" heading.
- 6). Check the box labeled "Deny" under the "Read and Execute" column. Click "OK" to save the change. This will prevent the Avira nag screen from running on your computer.
