How to Copy GeoMaps to a Garmin
- 1). Purchase a GeoMaps maps disc from the GeoMaps store or retailer near you, or at some Garmin retailers. When you've purchased it, place it in the disc drive of your computer.
- 2). Plug your Garmin into your computer, using the USB cord that came with the Garmin.
- 3). Open the Garmin software you installed on your computer when you launched your Garmin system. If you have never plugged it in before, this software installs automatically the first time you plug in your Garmin, so wait for the installation process to complete.
- 4). Choose "Menu," then "Add component," then "Add disc." If your Garmin system does not show the "Add disc" option, choose "Add from computer," then "Browse" to find the GeoMaps disc in your computer's menu.
- 5). Choose "OK" to import the information found on the disc to your Garmin system. When the system is finished importing the information, unplug your Garmin and use the GeoMaps system on it.
