How to Paint Symmetrically on Both Sides
- 1). Create your shape by drawing it on the cardboard in pencil. You will only use one half of it. If you want to draw the entire shape and cut it in half later that is fine. The key is to use the same template for both sides for the closest match.
- 2). Draw a line down the center of the design, and cut out one side. If you only drew half the design, just cut it out. Use the utility knife. Work on a work surface so you don't scratch a good table.
- 3). Hold the cutout template up to the wall or painting surface and outline it. Flip the design over (like turning the page in a book) and outline the other side to complete the design sketch.
- 4). Paint in the design using the paint and brush to complete the symmetrical painting.
