Young Millionaires - Mary Kate and Ashley Olson:

Oprah introduced the show with an opening clip highlighting the Olson twin's long career: famous since babies, the girls were millionaires by the time they were 10, moguls before they could drive, heads of their own company by 18, and fashion designers by 20. Now 22, Mary Kate and Ashley Olson are not only worth millions, but control their company DuelStar and fashion lines The Row and Elizabeth & James.

Mary Kate and Ashley joined Oprah on stage; rather quiet and composed. The sisters responded to they way they have grown up by saying that they have worked hard every day, and had a head start to their success.

Young Millionaires - The Olson's on "Influence":

Most recently, the Olson's have been focusing their time on their 2 fashion lines and their coffee table book, Influence. Leaving college because of the difficulty with paparazzi, they have thrived running their businesses and becoming fashion icons in their own right.

In Influence Mary Kate and Ashley sat down to interview the fashion designers that most influenced them, including: Karl Lagerfeld, Diane Von Furstenburg, John Galliano, Christian Louboutin, and model-actress Lauren Hutton. The sisters were nervous to interview designers they admire, but felt honored to have the opportunity.

Young Millionaires - The Real Mary Kate and Ashley:

MK and Ashley shared that they strive for balance in their lives, while also putting family and friends first.

Oprah commented that America thinks they know the Olson twins from seeing them on television or in magazines for over 20 years, but people don't know the real MK and Ashley. The revealed that every day is different for them; often when the paparazzi portrays them as shopping, they are actually working on their fashion lines. The sisters shared that they regularly work in sweats in the office and strive to be comfortable day to day.

MK and Ashley interviewed each other for the Oprah Show:
  • MK to A: What do you find most attractive in a guy? Ashley answered loyalty.
  • A to MK: Same question - MK answered charm.
  • MK to A: What is a natural gift you wish you had? Ashley answered to be at ease with herself.
  • MK to A: What would people be surprised to know about you? Ashley answered, that she is a homebody.
  • A to MK: What is your motto? MK answered, everything happens for a reason.
  • A to MK: What would you like to be? MK answered, taller.
  • MK to A: What would you like people to say about you after you die? Ashley answered, that she was a good friend.

Young Millionaires - MK and Ashley on Being Sisters:

MK and Ashley revealed that they live in their own apartments in NY that are just a few blocks away from each other to give them separate lives. Being sisters and twins and co-owners of a company, they are very attached and together often, but understand that at times they each need space. The Olson's are also supportive of each other in relationships, stating that they respect the other's decision and each want their sister to be happy.

Young Millionaires - MK and Ashley A Day in the Life:

Oprah's cameras followed MK and Ashley on a typical Friday and Saturday for them in New York City. Their Friday started off at 10:15 with meetings, moving on to model fittings around noon. The sisters then showed the cameras their inspiration board for the current season and how that translated into the clothing. At 2 they had a shoe meeting with Steve Madden followed by a jewelry meeting with Robert Lee Morris.

The Olson's started designing, with help, for themselves at a young age when they couldn't find clothing in stores that they liked.

Young Millionaires - Gurbaksh Chahal:

A high school dropout, Gurbaksh Chahal at 26 has turned a painful childhood into a life worth more than $100 million dollars. Chahal came to America with his grandmother, parents and siblings from India and attended the public school system once arriving. He was often teased and suffered emotional abuse for being different, especially since he wore a turban. Chahal had difficulties through school and often just wanted to fit in, but he was able to turn a difficult time into success. Starting at 18 and into his early 20s, Chahal was able to sell 2 internet sites for $340 million dollars.

Oprah commented that the best revenge is doing well, and Chahal has definitely proved to those that abused him that his success is enough. Chahal finds inspiration and support from his family who keep him in check. He shared that when he first became successful, he took care of his parent first before buying himself the things he had always wanted.

Chahal's advice to others is to follow your dreams and find your happiness in balance and success.

Young Millionaires - Tony Hsieh:

At 22, Tony Hsieh created an internet business with his college roommate which eventually sold for $265 million dollars. Shortly after, Zappos.com was created in June of 1999 with Tony joining as an investor and advisor in August of 1999. Tony is now the CEO of Zappos which is the #1 online shoe store.

Tony appeared on the show via Skype from his cubicle in Henderson, NV. Tony shared that he works in a cubicle with all the other employees because he is not doing his job for the money, but for the creation of a company and environment - he even takes a salary of just $36,000 a year. Tony expressed that Zappos is about creating a team and family atmosphere and offering the best customer service possible from people who really care about their jobs. Chasing the vision, not the money is how Tony follows his passion - do what you love and the money will come is his advice to others.
