How to Use Bart PE on a Windows PC

    • 1). Download the latest version of Bart PE Builder from the product's official website and install the application on your computer.

    • 2). Launch PE Builder. PE Builder will ask if you want to search for installation files. Insert your original Windows installation disc in your drive and then click "yes." PE Builder will search for installation files. This may take a few minutes.

    • 3). Install additional plug-ins if you wish for additional help repairing your computer or recovering damaged files. Download the plug-ins from the Bart PE Builder website. Click "Plug-ins" on the PE Builder toolbar and then click on the plug-in to enable it.

    • 4). Select the "Burn to CD/DVD" option.

    • 5). Click "Build." Make sure you have a blank CD in the drive. PE Builder will now burn an image to the CD, creating a boot disc for Bart PE. This will take several minutes.

    • 6). Insert the Bart PE boot disc into your drive and reboot your computer. You'll boot directly into Bart PE if your computer is configured to boot from a CD; if not, you'll need to modify the BIOS. Bart PE provides a graphical user environment similar to Windows. You'll have access to files on your PC, limited program use and access to your registry. You can also log in to a network. Thanks to this functionality, you can back up your computer, send files to another computer on your network and remove viruses.
