How to Glaze a Window Pane
- 1). Scoop a golf ball sized piece of window glazing out of the container with your hand.
- 2). Roll the ball back and forth between your palms to elongate the window glazing.
- 3). Continue rolling the glazing until it is roughly the length of the window pane on which it will be installed.
- 4). Place the glazing along the joint between the window pane and the wood muntin. Firmly press it into place using your fingers.
- 5). Place one corner of a putty knife blade on the glass and let the body of the blade rest along the corner of the muntin.
- 6). Smooth the glazing by pulling the putty knife along the length of the glazing, keeping the putty knife in contact with the glass and the muntin.
