A registry helps ensure that the couple receive the gifts they want to start their new life together and reduces the likelihood of getting duplicate gifts. Most retailers offer an easy-to-use registry program. If you are planning on creating a gift registry for your wedding, there are some essential items to add and ask for.
  
  

Dinnerware

• One of the most common items on a wedding registry, dinnerware includes plates, bowls, serving trays, serving bowls and salad bowls. Silverware and Utensils

• Silverware and utensils are much needed items, so be sure to include them. Forks, knives, spoons, salad forks and soup spoons are all silverware items you will need.
