Highest Paid Fashion Models
Wouldn't it be nice to parlay your height into a hefty paycheck? Models and athletes do it every year, but some make a boatload more than others. The highest paid fashion models of 2011 didn't just strut the runway to make a buck, most of them stay busy with extensive endorsements, spokesmanships and personal business ventures.
Highest Paid Fashion Models - Gisele Bundchen
Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen made waves as a top fashion model with Victoria's Secret, but she didn't end her fashion climb there. She has contracts with companies like H&M, Dior and Versace and she also has her own line of sandals called Ipanema. She's projected to make $45 million in 2011.
Highest Paid Fashion Models - Heidi Klum
Heidi Klum modeled for Victoria's Secret for 13 years, and used her "free time" wisely to pull in other modeling gigs and to promote herself as a TV personality. Not only does she host the popular design show Project Runway, she also is the host for Germany's Next Top Model and a Lifetime show called Seriously Funny Kids. As if that weren't enough, she teamed up with New Balance to design a line of women's sportswear called NBHK that's available exclusively on Amazon.com.
Highest Paid Fashion Models - Adriana Lima
Kate Moss is the only shorter model on the list of highest paid fashion models. At 5'7" she doesn't qualify as a tall woman, but what she's done with her fashion empire is impressive all the same. Not only does she continue to model for a number of companies, but her lucrative design deal with UK store TopShop rocketed her annual estimated earnings to 13.5 million in 2011.
Brazilian bombshell Adriana Lima may be a wife and mother, but that hasn't slowed down her modeling career. She continues to model for Victoria's Secret and also does work with Givenchy, Brazilian brand Forum and Spanish brand Loewe. Her 2011 estimated earnings are an impressive eight million.
Alessandra Ambrosio, another Brazilian Victoria's Secret model, rounds out the top five highest earning models of 2011. She pulls in an estimated five million dollars from Victoria's Secret and other modeling deals.
Daria Werbowy is an up-and-coming Polish model who currently makes 4.5 million dollars a year. Over the last 12 months she has inked deals with Hudson Bay, Stefanel, Joseph, Oroton and YSL. That's in addition to the deals she already had with Lancome, H&M and Versace. Chances are, Daria Werbowy will continue to climb on the highest paid model list.
Like Daria Werbowy, Lara Stone has become one of fashion's hottest models. She currently makes an estimated 4.5 million dollars a year due to deals with Calvin Klein, H&M, Versace, Forum, Prada and Donna Karan.
Carolyn Murphy inked a big deal with Estee Lauder last year, contributing to her $4.3 million dollar haul. She also has contracts with designers like Iceberg and Fashion Island.
Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova may be a 29 year old mother of three, but that hasn't stopped her from making the money. She pulled in an estimated four million dollars over the last year, primarily due to lingerie modeling for Etam and spokesmodeling for the fragrance company Guerlain. She's not just a pretty face, though. Natalia Vodianova also runs the Naked Heart Foundation to help build playgrounds in Russia.
Candice Swanepoel is a 22 year old fireball from South Africa who is slated to be the next top model. Not only is she one of Victoria's Secret's newest angels, she's also appeared in an ad campaign for True Religion. In 2011 she will make approximately two million dollars.
