How to Fit an Ice Hockey Goalie Stick
- 1). Choose a style of hockey stick that you like. Wooden sticks are heavier and break easily, but they are inexpensive. Aluminum sticks are expensive, but are durable. Composite sticks come in a variety of shapes, are lightweight, increase shot speed and accuracy. However, they can break easier than aluminum.
- 2). Take off your shoes and stand flat footed in your socks.
- 3). Place the style of hockey goalie stick that you like on the tip of the head so the stick shaft is straight up and down. Continue doing this with different lengths of hockey sticks until the top of the hockey stick shaft touches the tip of your nose. This will be the proper length for a hockey goalie stick.
